| Research Project Description | This project is to parallelize an existing machine learning programs for analyzing blogs (Carlos Guestrin et al., http://www.turndownthenoise.org/) with Hadoop and Hbase. In the existing system, non-parallel MySQL? is used to process and query data, so the speed is limited to a single machine. With the help of Hadoop's Map/Reduce and HBase, we expect it to be possible to exploit multiple machines and process larger amount of data faster. |
