FAQ: How do I log on to cluster?

Answer:

Use SSH to initiate a session to the login node for the cloud cluster: 
ssh shell.disc.pdl.cmu.local

From the login node you can launch your jobs.

NOTES:
  1. You need to log in (initiate your ssh connection) from one a hosts connected to the campus network. Only hosts on the campus network can connect to the shell.disc host.
  2. If you are not on the campus network use the Campus VPN or ssh proxy. See CloudSshProxy for more information.
